Hadith narrated by Salman Farsi (R.A.), who said that Prophet (S.A.W.) said: 

Ramadan is a month whose beginning is mercy, its middle is forgiveness and its end is ransom from the Fire”.

(Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, Hadith No. 1887)
